Privacy policy

Who we are

Booked Up is a UK business run by a sole trader, [OWNER'S LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS]. For this website, Booked Up is the “data controller”, which means we’re responsible for the personal information you send.

Contact: team@bookedupwebsites.co.uk or 07387 575877.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect what you type in: your name, your trade, your phone number and your message. We don’t ask for anything else.

If you call, text or WhatsApp us, we’ll have your number and whatever you send, the same as any phone call or message.

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

Only to reply to you about a website, and, if you become a customer, to build and look after your site.

Our lawful basis is that you’ve asked us to get in touch, so we’re taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.

We never sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

Who else sees it

Form messages are handled by our website host, Netlify, which stores them so we can read them. Netlify may process data outside the UK; where it does, it uses the legal safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum.

We don’t share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

If you don’t become a customer, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep your details for as long as we look after your site, and then for up to 6 years for tax and accounting records.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and send you a copy
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop using it, or limit how we use it

Just email or text us. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
